Duquesne LB with Elite Intensity, Forced Fumble & NEC Defensive Player of the Week Honors
Tyson Meiguez, Duquesne’s standout linebacker from Fairburn, GA, delivers game-changing intensity and elite differentiators beyond stats: he earned NEC Defensive Player of the Week with 9 tackles, 1.5 TFL, a forced fumble, and pass breakup in the NEC opener. Though he limped off injured mid-first half against Lehigh (35-21 loss), he returned to play—proving resilience. A 2024 Murray State grad transfer (55 tackles, 4 TFL, 1 sack, 1 FF), he brings national ranking pedigree (Rivals No. 59 OLB in 2023) and a business-driven, feedback-accepting mindset. His non-negotiable hustle, recovery speed, and football IQ make him a perfect fit for teams needing a high-intensity, versatile LB who thrives under pressure.
