In the 2025-26 season, Eastern Kentucky guard Zyniah Thomas is a compact, experienced lead guard who brings winning DNA from a NJCAA title run and a proven track record as a multi-year starter, which should make her a reliable connector and organizer for the Colonels. She averaged 9.3 points, 4.0 rebounds, and 3.2 assists per game at Arkansas–Fort Smith before transferring, and EKU has already leaned on her playmaking with a season-high five assists in a January 2026 win. At 5'5", her game is about pace, toughness, and efficiency more than flash.
