Lucas Zack brings size, left-handed upside, and strikeout pedigree to CBU
Lucas Zack is a 6'4", 225-pound left-handed pitcher at California Baptist whose calling card is bat-missing ability and toughness; in the 2023-24 high school season, he posted a 3.07 ERA with 61 strikeouts in 41 innings and held hitters to a .154 average, which screams “don’t sleep on the slider.”[4] At CBU, he has been on the roster as a freshman LHP, and his profile suggests a power arm with real matchup value if he continues sharpening command and translating his swing-and-miss stuff against Division I bats.[2][3]
