Luke Bailey brings a downhill look and ace-level pedigree to UCSB's staff
In the 2025 season, Luke Bailey arrived at UC Santa Barbara as a 6-foot-2, 175-pound right-hander with a real starter’s frame and a track record of winning, highlighted by a 12-0 record, 1.03 ERA, and 75 strikeouts in 68 innings as a senior at Granite Hills.[3][7] That kind of command-and-competitiveness combo makes him interesting: he looks like a strike-thrower who can work deep into games, and the bigger question for a fit at the next level is how quickly his stuff translates against better bats.
