Aidan Rice brings versatile infield value and a contact-oriented profile to Portland
Rice profiles as a dependable infield piece whose appeal is less about loud tools and more about steady value: he’s the kind of player who can help a staff or lineup by handling multiple roles, keeping at-bats competitive, and bringing a composed, team-first edge. Recent public information on Rice is limited, but his track record elsewhere includes award-level recognition as a pitcher, suggesting athleticism and competitive toughness that can translate well in college baseball. If Portland wants a high-floor contributor rather than a flashy upside play, Rice looks like a sensible fit.
