Karim Patterson brings a left-handed bat, physical frame, and a polished offensive profile to UIC
Patterson enters UIC as a lefty 1B/OF with a strong, physical build and a reputation for advanced bat-to-ball skills, present bat speed, and natural loft that plays to all fields. Prep reports describe a fluid swing and athletic hands, while Perfect Game notes a 7.22-second 60-yard dash and a 2025 class ranking in Illinois, suggesting enough athleticism to handle first base or an outfield corner. In high school he hit .364 over 51 games, and his early 2025-26 stats show a .367 average and .557 on-base rate, making him a fit if you want contact, on-base ability, and upside without a lot of swing-and-miss.
