Virginia Tech’s Do-Everything Forward Who Stuffed the Stat Sheet
In the 2022-23 season at Virginia Tech, Justyn Mutts was the Hokies’ engine, leading the team in rebounds (7.4), assists (4.6), and steals (1.5) while scoring 13.3 points per game. What makes him stand out isn’t just the numbers: he played with a high-motor, versatile, connective style as a 6-foot-7 forward who could handle, pass, defend, and finish in transition. He’s the kind of player every good team wants—selfless, active, and reliable on both ends—though he profiles more as a glue piece and impact connector than a pure shot-creation star.
