Columbia’s 308-pound interior plug who already proved he can contribute
In the 2025 season, Columbia DL Will Matthew appeared in 10 games and totaled 16 tackles with 0.5 tackles for loss, showing early rotational value for the Lions. The 6-foot-3, 308-pound junior brings size, wrestling toughness, and a high-floor motor; his high school résumé included All-CIF honors, Defensive Lineman of the Year, and valedictorian status. He’s the kind of interior defender who can anchor against the run and develop into a sturdier every-down presence, which makes him a useful fit for teams that value leverage, discipline, and blue-collar line play.
