Du'Vaughn Maxwell brings old-school paint force and defensive teeth to Hampton
Du'Vaughn Maxwell stands out as a physical, high-effort forward who impacts the game with rebounding, rim protection, and efficient scoring around the basket. In his Hampton season, he averaged 10.4 points and 7.2 rebounds while shooting 49.2% from the field, and he also earned MEAC Defensive Player of the Year honors by leading the conference with 3.2 blocks per game. That kind of inside presence is gold if a team needs toughness, screen-setting, and a defender who makes opponents think twice in the lane.
