Dylan Merrell brings size, experience, and steady secondary value to LIU
In the 2024 season, Dylan Merrell appeared in 11 games for LIU and produced 30 tackles, showing the kind of dependable, assignment-sound DB who can help stabilize a defense. At 6-foot-2 and 185 pounds, he brings length and physicality, and his background includes time at Duke plus a pass breakup in 2022, so there’s real experience behind the frame. He looks like a good fit for a team that wants a versatile, veteran defensive back who tackles reliably and adds depth with some special-teams utility.
