Vanessa Calvillo brings speed, situational pop, and clutch utility to UC Davis
Vanessa Calvillo profiles as a spark-plug outfielder for UC Davis: in the 2025 season she hit .167 with a .481 OPS, and in 2026 she showed she can still impact games with timely contact, including a 2-for-4 effort with two runs scored against Utah Valley and a run-producing single later in the season. Her differentiators are her speed, competitive edge, and willingness to do the little things — pinch-running, advancing, and creating chaos on the bases — which makes her useful for teams that value energy, versatility, and high-IQ softball more than pure slugging.
