Amar Lane is Georgian Court’s shot-blocking menace with room to grow on offense
In the 2025-26 season, Amar Lane has already made his mark as a 6'8" junior forward for Georgian Court by anchoring the defense: he earned the CACC Defensive Player of the Week after a seven-block game and, as of early January 2026, led the league with 23 blocks and 2.1 blocks per game. He’s the kind of long, disruptive frontcourt piece coaches love because he changes shots, protects the rim, and has already set a new Lions single-season block record. Offensively, he’s still developing, but his defensive intensity makes him a high-upside fit for teams needing a true paint enforcer.
