Chase Massey brings size and polish to Marshall’s WR room
Chase Massey is a 6-foot-1, 175-pound redshirt sophomore wide receiver from Winfield, West Virginia, with Marshall listing him on the 2026 roster[1][2]. He looks like a useful fit if a team wants an in-state developmental pass catcher with length, lean frame, and room to add strength, but there is little publicly available production data right now, so the evaluation leans more on profile than stat-sheet fireworks[1][2].

Qualified estimate
Fanstake's Revenue Share Fair Market Value (FMV) is our independent, dynamic estimate of a player's on-field value to college programs. Our model weighs more than a dozen factors — including positional demand, experience, statistical performance, strength of competition, team performance, comparable players, upside potential, and proprietary signals informed by our proximity to college programs — to estimate a player's share of the $20.5M revenue pool schools can now distribute directly to athletes.
FMV is not a disclosure of what a player actually earns. Actual compensation may be higher or lower, and in practice, player packages are often negotiated as a combination of revenue share and NIL opportunities.
The goal of Fanstake FMV is simple: to give fans a transparent, data-driven benchmark for understanding player value in the new era of college athletics.
