Power arm with a bounce-back path at Santa Clara
Robert Aivazian is a 6-foot-3 right-hander at Santa Clara who transferred from Cal and missed the 2025 season because of injury, so the big story is upside plus availability. In 2024 at California, he logged 15.1 innings with 19 strikeouts, showing real bat-missing ability despite a 6.46 ERA and some command wobble. Santa Clara’s 2026 stats list him at 10.80 ERA through limited work, so the fit question is whether a staff can harness his stuff and keep him healthy. If you want a low-ego arm with mid-rotation relief upside, he’s at least worth a hard look.
