Jayleen Scott brings gritty versatility and upside behind the plate for Pacific
In the 2025 season, freshman C/UTIL Jayleen Scott appeared in 44 games for Pacific, starting 39, and hit .261 with 30 hits, 18 RBIs and 17 runs scored—solid production for a first-year player who was trusted in the lineup almost every day. Listed as a catcher/utilities option at 5'2", she profiles as a scrappy, high-energy defender with lineup flexibility, which is exactly the kind of glue player coaches love. For context, her earlier ceiling was evident in high school, where she posted a .375 average in 2024-25 at Mater Dei, so there’s real developmental upside here.
