Chris Thomas brings JUCO production and edge-rushing pop to FSU’s linebacker room
Chris Thomas looks like a high-motor, impact-seeking linebacker for Florida State in the 2026 season, arriving from Northwest Mississippi CC with 2025 production of 39 tackles, 8.5 tackles for loss, and 2.0 sacks after a 2026 offseason ACL recovery. His calling card is disruption: he plays downhill, flashes pass-rush juice for the position, and already proved he can create negative plays at the JUCO level. The fit is intriguing if FSU wants a physical, aggressive LB with upside, but the injury history means the big question is health and how quickly he translates that violence to Power 4 speed.
