Seniority, Defensive Versatility, and a Contact-First Bat at Delaware State
Ben Conkey is a 2026 junior outfielder for Delaware State who brings a steady, team-first profile: he earned 2025 NEC Academic Honor Roll recognition, was a First Team All-Conference hitter in high school, and posted .231 with 9 hits, 10 RBIs, and 8 runs in 14 senior games at Caravel Academy. Delaware State’s 2026 stats show him contributing in limited action, so the appeal here is less flash and more dependable athleticism, defensive flexibility, and a grinder’s mentality that fits a program looking for reliable, accountable pieces.
