Hawa Doumbouya brings rare size and upside to VCU
Hawa Doumbouya is a 6-foot-7 forward with real long-term intrigue: a four-star ESPNW recruit who has already shown flashes of paint production, including an eight-point, five-rebound outing against Towson in her earlier college career. In the 2025-26 season, she was used in a limited role at VCU, but her appeal is obvious—elite length, rebounding potential, and frontcourt size you simply can’t coach. She’s a good fit if a team wants developmental upside and rim protection upside, though the best version of her game still looks to be ahead of her.
