Brandan Walton is North Texas’ steady spacing guard
Walton brings real value as a seasoned 6-foot-2 guard who can stretch the floor; in 2024-25, North Texas listed him as fifth in C-USA with a 40.4% three-point mark in league play, and he hit 42.4% from deep over the final 14 games[1]. That kind of shot-making is the cleanest reason to care: he fits next to creators, punishes help defense, and gives a lineup dependable perimeter gravity[1]. The bigger question is upside versus volume, because his appeal is more “smart, efficient connector” than headline-chasing star[1].
