Pacific RHP Elias Valdez brings size and a live arm, but current results are still a work in progress
Valdez is a 6'4", 205-pound right-hander at Pacific who has the frame and arm strength teams like to bet on, but his 2026 production has been inconsistent, with an 11.57 ERA and 6 strikeouts reported by D1Baseball. His earlier recruiting notes pointed to solid fastball velocity up to 92 mph and a reputation for throwing strikes, which suggests there’s upside if his command and pitch efficiency sharpen. He’s more of a developmental fit right now than an immediate plug-in impact arm.
