Kyle Calzadiaz brings power arm production and big-game polish to SJSU's rotation
In the 2026 season, Kyle Calzadiaz emerged as a legit Mountain West frontline arm for San José State, going 6-2 with a 3.72 ERA and 89 strikeouts in 16 starts, and he was named to the 2026 National Pitcher of the Year Watch List and Mountain West Pitcher of the Week. His calling card is swing-and-miss stuff with durability, plus he’s shown he can handle pressure in tournament settings; the question is command consistency, not talent. If your staff needs a competitive right-hander who can miss bats and take the ball every week, he’s a strong fit.
