Sophia Roncone gives Holy Cross a durable, strikeout-capable left side in the circle
Roncone is a proven workhorse for Holy Cross, with recent seasons showing high inning volume and steady run prevention in Patriot League play; in 2024 she logged a 3.25 ERA, 64.2 innings and 53 strikeouts, and the program has noted she ranked among the league leaders in innings and strikeouts. Her fit is strongest for teams valuing durability, competitive toughness and a pitcher who can handle heavy usage, though her 2026 results show more traffic and walk issues at times, so the upside is in her experience and command profile rather than overpowering velocity.
