tough, service-academy built linebacker with upside
Matt Karpinsky is a junior linebacker for Navy in the 2026 season, listed at 6-foot-1 and 208 pounds, and his biggest differentiator is the Navy fit itself: discipline, toughness, and buy-in to a demanding system. His roster profile highlights a Centerville, Ohio background, Naval Academy Prep School experience, and a strong high-school résumé, while current stat sites show no available 2026 production yet. He reads like a high-intensity, team-first defender whose value is likely to come from reliability, physicality, and special-teams utility more than headline numbers.
