West Texas Tough, But Still a Blank Slate at Texas Tech
Chandlin Myers entered Texas Tech as a consensus three-star athlete from Hawley, Texas, with plus-size for a receiver (6-foot-2, 170 pounds in the roster listing) and a reputation for all-around playmaking, including big production as a high school receiver, returner, and defender. He was praised as a versatile, local “West Texas tough” fit, but he departed the program midway through his true freshman season in 2024 and did not appear in a game, so the on-field college sample is essentially nonexistent. He looks like a developmental fit if you want upside, versatility, and athletic traits over proven production.
