Jayce LaCava Brings Pop, Size, and a Late-Season Spark to Louisiana’s Outfield
LaCava is a 6-foot-1, 205-pound junior outfielder who showed real impact upside in the 2026 season, including a 394-foot home run and a five-game stretch where he hit .429 with one homer and four RBI after entering the starting lineup. His overall 2026 line was modest, but the quick-twitch power, run-producing flashes, and ability to catch fire suggest a player who can change a game when locked in. He also arrives with junior-college experience from Nunez, which adds maturity and a tougher-at-bats profile.
