Dayton Freshman Maura Carmody: Clutch Outfielder with 2-for-3, 2 RBI Game-Winning Spark
Maura Carmody, a 5'2" left-handed freshman outfielder for the Dayton Flyers, delivers high-intensity clutch performances—like her recent 2-for-3, 2 RBI game-winning spark—despite a modest 2026 AVG of .149 and only 4 RBIs. Her differentiator is relentless intensity and a 'leader behind the game' personality, with no injury history and a track record of third-place finishes in high school (2023 IHSAA). She’s a perfect fit for teams needing grit, speed, and emotional fire over raw stats, making her a rising star to watch in the 2026 season.
