6-foot-3 Monmouth lefty with promising swing-and-miss upside
Hios is a developing left-handed arm at Monmouth who brings a projectable 6-foot-3, 190-pound frame and a profile that already flashes strikeout ability; in the 2025 season, one Monmouth source listed him among the rostered pitchers, while a game log shows a brief relief appearance with scoreless work, underscoring that he’s still carving out his role. The appeal is the classic southpaw package: size, leverage, and a chance to grow into more impact innings. If your team wants a high-upside developmental pitcher rather than a finished product, he’s worth a look.
