Dylan Carpenter is finally turning LSU patience into edge-rushing production
In the 2025 season, LSU’s Dylan Carpenter took a real step forward: he logged 10 tackles, 2.5 tackles for loss and 2 sacks, showing he can pressure quarterbacks and do the dirty work on the edge. The bigger story is his profile — a local St. Amant product who stuck with the program, earned SEC Academic Honor Roll recognition twice, and has built a reputation as a team-first, high-intensity rotational defender. He looks like a fit for a team that values effort, versatility and growth over flash.
