Jeremy Vest is Delaware State’s innings-eating lefty with strikeout upside and real Friday-night poise
In the 2025 season, Vest showed legitimate starter value for Delaware State: 35 strikeouts in 37.1 innings, a save, and a season-high six punchouts in seven innings against Le Moyne, then in 2026 he delivered a 7.0-inning, 5-strikeout start against Norfolk State and earned a win in the season-ending series at Coppin State. He looks like a competitor who can miss bats, take the ball, and handle pressure; the tradeoff is that his run prevention still has room to sharpen, so he fits best for a team needing a tough left-hander with upside rather than a finished product.
