Asaad Brown Jr. is a versatile, reliable young DB gaining real traction for NC State
Brown has emerged as a useful, steady defensive back for NC State in 2025, logging meaningful snaps at nickel/safety after injuries opened opportunities and earning praise for his tackling and assignment discipline; reports note he was one of the few defenders to tackle well in a tough stretch, and PFF graded his tackling strongly against Virginia Tech. His value is versatility, reliability, and low-mistake play rather than flash, which makes him a fit for teams that want a coachable, position-flexible DB who can hold up in the box and on the back end.
