AJ Pino brings a live lefty arm and strikeout upside to Fordham
Pino looks like a useful **developmental left-handed pitcher** with a three-pitch mix and enough fastball life to miss bats; a scouting note on his Fordham commitment said his heater sat **88-90 mph and touched 91** while he struck out three in an inning of relief, which points to real swing-and-miss potential rather than just pitchability. He was also ranked by Perfect Game among New York’s better 2024 arms, suggesting a credible baseline of talent. If you want a pitcher with projectable stuff, a lefty look, and relief value, he’s worth attention.
