Senior lefty with steady swing-and-miss potential for San José State
Sam Boyle is a 2026 senior left-handed pitcher for San José State who brings experience, a low-90s style profile by role, and a grinder’s pitch-to-contact mentality with strikeout ability mixed in. In the 2026 season, he logged 4.1 innings with a 10.38 ERA and 3 strikeouts, but his value goes beyond the stat line: he’s a transfer from Oregon, has been used in multiple relief/middle roles, and the Spartans trusted him enough to give him meaningful early-season and midseason innings. If you want a veteran LHP who can fit into a staff and battle, he’s worth a look.
