Lake Morris brings left-handed grit and flashes of real upside for Belmont
Lake Morris, a 2026 Belmont left-hander, has shown enough competitiveness to keep getting the ball, including starts in 2026 after appearing in 14 games as a freshman in 2025. He’s a smaller-framed arm at 5-foot-11 and 160 pounds, but Belmont’s own notes show he can miss bats in stretches and work deep enough to matter when he’s on, including a 5.1-inning career high in 2025 and a three-strikeout run in multiple outings. The stat line is still a work in progress, but the appeal is clear: a tough southpaw with starter traits, resilience, and room to grow into a more reliable rotation piece.
