Elite Graduate RHP Anchoring EIU’s 2026 Win with 6 Ks & 1-Run Gem
Tyler Conklin, a 5’11”, 195-lb graduate right-hander for Eastern Illinois, delivered a dominant 7-inning, 97-pitch performance in the 2026 season, striking out six while allowing just one run to snap a four-game losing skid. His differentiators include a 7-2 record with 24 career wins, a 3.94 ERA, and elite strikeout-to-walk ratio (48 Ks vs. 23 walks), reflecting intense focus and consistent command. Though undersized, his 91 mph fastball velocity and 0.232 opponent BA reveal a mature, battle-tested pitcher who thrives under pressure. With no reported injury history and a reputation as an ‘ace’ in summer leagues, Conklin is a high-intensity, reliable fit for any team needing a steady rotation anchor.
