Eric Weeks is Canisius’ rising hot-hand bat with gap-to-gap pop and lineup juice
In the 2026 season, Eric Weeks has emerged as a dangerous, momentum-swinging INF/OF for Canisius, earning MAAC Player of the Week after a blistering stretch that included 9 hits, 13 RBI, 4 homers and 2 doubles in one week, plus a 4-for-4, 4-RBI performance against Manhattan. He’s a right-handed hitter who brings extra-base damage, run production, and enough athletic versatility to move around the field. The upside is real: he also flashed solid summer production with a .347 average and 22 steals, making him a fit for teams that want bat speed, aggression, and a little swagger.
