Redshirt junior UTEP guard with local grit and defensive bite
In the 2025-26 season, Jordan Hernandez has been a low-usage reserve for UTEP, averaging 0.6 points and 0.4 rebounds in about 4.6 minutes per game while giving the Miners a small, pesky backcourt option. He is a 5'11" guard from El Paso whose appeal is more about intensity, familiarity, and defensive energy than box-score pop; he redshirted in 2024-25, so he’s still developing into a steadier rotation piece. If a team wants a compact guard who can pressure, compete, and bring local toughness, he’s worth a look.
