Jah'rie Garner brings size, recovery grit, and upside to Tulane’s linebacker room
After an ACL setback, the 6-foot-3, 228-pound redshirt junior returned in 2025 and appeared in all 14 games for Tulane, finishing with 14 tackles, 1.5 tackles for loss, and a fumble recovery while earning praise as a “promise and talent” returner for 2026. Garner’s calling card is length, downhill physicality, and special-teams/value depth upside, backed by a strong high-school résumé and local New Orleans roots. He’s the kind of linebacker who can fit a defense that values toughness, developmental upside, and a player who clearly isn’t afraid to grind his way back.
