Andrew Habermann is emerging as a swing-and-miss bullpen weapon for Santa Clara
In the 2025 season, the right-hander carved out a real role for Santa Clara as a true freshman, making 16 relief appearances and finishing with an 0-1 record, 4.85 ERA, one save, and 15 strikeouts in 26 innings; in 2026, he was still trusted in the pen and had a save already on his résumé, even if results were a bit uneven. He looks like the classic “give me the ball in traffic” reliever: calm enough for high-leverage spots, capable of missing bats, and useful to teams that value composure and competitive edge over pure flash.
