From Iowa's 2021 POY to Celtics' Efficient Bench Big
Luka Garza, the 2021 AP College Basketball Player of the Year at Iowa where he dominated with 24 PPG over his final two seasons, has carved out an NBA role as a Boston Celtics center, averaging 8.1 PPG, 4.1 RPG, and a stellar 57.7% FG in the 2025-26 season across 69 games (16.2 MPG). His differentiators shine in rebounding prowess (9.2 per 36 minutes) and elite efficiency (64.9% eFG%), making him a high-floor backup big with college-honed scoring touch—perfect fit for teams needing reliable depth without turnovers.
