Brandon Rose offers UMass a live-armed, dual-threat QB with real starting experience
In his 2025 season at Massachusetts, Brandon Rose showed enough arm talent and mobility to matter, throwing for 424 yards with 1 TD and 3 INTs while adding 4 rushing yards in six games; his earlier Utah cameo included a season-ending injury after flashing with 112 passing yards, 55 rushing yards, and 2 TD passes in his first start against BYU. [3][8][9] He fits best as a quarterback who can create outside structure, extend plays, and bring toughness, but his profile still carries questions about consistency, ball security, and durability.
