Jayden Woodland brings ball-hawk upside and fresh-legs aggression to Eastern Washington's secondary
In the 2025 season at Puyallup, Jayden Woodland flashed the kind of two-way playmaking that jumps off a recruiting board: 52 tackles, 30 solo stops, 1.5 tackles for loss, and a reputation as a ball-hawk safety with three career interceptions. Eastern Washington also noted his added aggression during 2026 fall camp, where he earned a sack in the second scrimmage — a nice sign for a freshman who can help near the ball and in run support. He looks like a fit for a defense that wants physicality, instincts, and upside, not just a body in the back end.
