Deang Deang brings veteran guard savvy and secondary playmaking to Eastern Illinois

Deang Deang is a 6-foot-4 guard who gives Eastern Illinois a seasoned, versatile backcourt piece, with prior college stretches showing he can score in bursts, rebound from the guard spot, and make enough plays to keep an offense moving. In his time at Eastern Illinois, he appeared in 27 games with eight starts, and his best-known game log includes a 14-point, 9-rebound outing against UT Martin in the 2020-21 season; earlier at Highland (Ill.) JC, he averaged 16.5 points and 5.4 assists per game. His value is competitiveness, size for the position, and lineup flexibility—useful if a team wants a guard who can do a bit of everything rather than just one thing.
