Janiah Wilson is a contact-first UAPB spark plug with run-scoring juice
In the 2026 season, Janiah Wilson has been one of Arkansas-Pine Bluff’s more dependable bats, hitting .321 with a .890 OPS and 21 hits across 31 at-bats in the team’s cumulative stats, while also showing speed and versatility as an infielder[1]. She’s the kind of player coaches like because she can pressure defenses, create offense in different ways, and has already shown she can drive in runs in tight games against conference opponents[4][6]. The little extras matter too: she has been used in high-leverage spots, contributes on the bases, and gives UAPB a gritty, do-the-job profile that fits a competitive lineup[4][13].
