Chris Mattioli brings veteran FDU mound presence with starter reps and recruiting pedigree
Mattioli, a right-handed pitcher for Fairleigh Dickinson, has logged meaningful innings over multiple seasons: in 2026 he made eight appearances with four starts, and in 2025 he started all six of his outings for the Knights[1]. He was originally recruited with Perfect Game All-Tournament Team honors and a national Top 1000 ranking, which hints at a solid baseline of arm talent and competitive upside[2]. The fit here looks like a steady, experienced strike-thrower who has earned trust in a rotation or swing role, though his current college résumé suggests more reliability and role value than star-level flash[1][2].
