UTEP pitcher Ryann Presswood brings championship pedigree, but 2026 results show she’s been hit hard in the circle
Presswood is a proven winner with a major differentiator: she helped Walker Valley win its first-ever Tennessee state softball title in 2025 and arrived at UTEP with that big-game résumé, plus a reputation as a “powerhouse presence” on and off the mound.[2][5][6] In the 2026 season, however, her UTEP line shows a 9.16 ERA, 0–2 record, and opponents hitting .420 across 36.2 innings, so the current fit depends on whether a staff values upside, poise, and high-ceiling competitiveness over immediate consistency.[1][6]
