Tyler Straily brings a funky lefty look with real strikeout-and-miss intrigue
Tyler Straily is a 6'0" left-handed pitcher at Arkansas-Pine Bluff who entered 2026 as a freshman, and the early read is appealing: he’s a deceptive “funky lefty” with a ball-hiding delivery that can make timing tough. In summer ball in 2025, he logged 27 innings with a 2-1 record, 13 strikeouts, and a 3.67 ERA, while scouting notes also pointed to a fastball that sat in the upper-70s to low-80s and a changeup shape that gives him a usable weapon mix. If you want a lottery-ticket arm with funk and upside, he’s worth a look.
