Young, speedy Citadel WR still waiting for a real sample
Branting is a freshman/redshirt-freshman wideout for The Citadel from Houston who has seen only limited game action so far, so the stat sheet is still basically in witness protection. What stands out is the upside: at 5-foot-9 and 170 pounds, he brings compact burst and the kind of quickness that can translate to slot work and special-teams value, but he remains an evaluation play more than a production one. If you need immediate, proven receiving help, he’s not there yet; if you want a developmental receiver with speed and low-mileage wear, he’s a reasonable bet.
