Brooke Subia brings grit, versatility, and homecoming energy to Long Beach State
Brooke Subia is a 5-3 sophomore INF for Long Beach State in the 2026 season who returns to Southern California after two years at Portland State, where she played in 27 games and started 16 as a true freshman; Long Beach State says she opened 2025 with three starts before missing the rest of the season, so the big story is a talent reset with upside and resilience rather than a clean stat line.[1][2] Coaches describe her as fiery, fun, competitive, and a true competitor who brings confidence and leadership, making her a strong fit for a team that values edge, energy, and infield toughness.[2]
