Jamal Williams brings steady two-way guard value for Sam Houston
Jamal Williams is a 6-5, 200-pound guard whose calling card has been versatility, toughness, and timely playmaking for Sam Houston. In the 2016-17 season, he averaged 4.0 points, 2.8 rebounds, and 1.1 assists per game while appearing in all 34 games, and earlier box scores show he could pop for efficient scoring nights and make winning plays on defense, including a key late steal in a conference-tournament game. He looks like the kind of glue guy coaches trust: active, physical, and willing to do the unglamorous stuff that helps good teams breathe.
