Daniel Gierer is SIUE’s spark plug: bat-to-ball, speed, and steady production
In the 2026 season, Daniel Gierer was a true everyday piece for SIU Edwardsville, appearing in all 57 games and hitting .276 with a .353 OBP, 27 RBIs, 12 stolen bases, and 14 extra-base hits, while also carrying a 3.94 GPA in Biological Sciences. He’s the kind of player coaches love: active on the bases, reliable in the lineup, and proven in pressure spots after earning first-team All-OVC honors in 2025. His profile suggests a high-IQ, high-energy outfielder who brings speed, defensive versatility, and a little extra edge—nice fit if your team wants a grinder who makes things happen.
